Out of Africa 

What a busy half-term we've had!  The children have completed their SATs and have made us really proud as a school, due to their mature attitudes and sheer perseverance. Within the half term, they have also been learning about 'Evolution and Inheritance' and have really enjoyed mastering key facts and learning about Charles Darwin's 'Theory of Evolution'.  As part of this theme, the children researched Charles Darwin and learnt all about his life.  We found out lots of fascinating facts about his childhood and this even inspired some of the children to follow their dreams as they realised anything is possible!

To end the half term, year 6 took part in the 'Bownlee Triathlon'at John Smeaton Academy. Take a look at the picturs below to see what a great time we had.
