All Saints 2 Richmond Hill 1:
This was a fabulous close football match against our friends from down the road. Richmond Hill had a strong side, but everyone of our lads played on top form. Nick said it was the best he had seen an All Saints team play since he starting helping with the coaching! Sabelo was man of the match, but it was really hard to choose. Well done to all!
Year 5 tag rugby.
To end their half term's coaching with Gavin from the Rhinos, Year 5 split into 3 teams for a fantastic tag rugby tournament. Hopefully, these 3 action shots will give you a taste of the fun, skill and determination.
18 boys and girls represented the school really well at the annual indoor athletics tournament. This year it was at Roundhay High School and the children competed in the usual variety of events: running, speed bounce, triple jump etc. The performance of the night was probably Joshua in Year 6 who won the javelin with a huge throw!
The football team played two matches recently. We invited Richmond Hill here for a return fixture, closely followed by Victoria Primary. Although we lost them both, again they were good close games and certainly against Richmond Hill we came up against a very inspired goalkeeper! There was lots of skill on show and Mr Pattison, who was able to watch the match against Victoria, praised the team on how they kept going until the end. Mohammed, as always, led by example, Lee had a very encouraging debut and Sabelo again stood out with his skilful dribbling.
Year Two throwing and catching competition:
Here are some great photos of the above competition. Year 2 clearly weren't going to let damp, cold weather put them off!

Football V Victoria
On May 11th the school football team went up to Victoria Primary and took part in very exciting close game. Having led 2-0 at half time, the lads were a bit disappointed to draw 2-2, but, with two strong sides competing, a draw was probably a fair result. A really good team performance, but Moussa, with both goals and an energetic display, was our man of the match.

Mr Keddie from Richmond Hill kindly invited us to a mixed age athletics competition to compete against themselves and St Patrick's. Twelve of our children from Y3, Y4 and Y5 took part in a variety of indoor track and field event. Although St Patrick's won it was a close competition with children from all 3 schools winning different events. The children really enjoyed it as you can see from the photo below!
