Sport Relief Week featuring the Skipping Challenge and the Running Challenge!!
To introduce Sport Relief Week Mr Adamson, Mr James and Mrs Mcquire led a lively assembly that included a dramatic staff v pupils penalty shoot out! Thankfully it was a draw! During the course of the week every class did the above competitions and found a champion boy and girl for each. The skipping challenge was how many skips in 30 seconds. This doesn't sound long but believe me it is! The idea behind the running was to that it would cover a longer distance rather than a sprint.
Below are some photos of Year 5 and 6 doing theirs. They had to run twice around the whole school including the field and even had an extra lap of the field at the end - just for fun! It was a fabulous afternoon and there was even time for a mass - 30 a side - Y5 v Y6 football match!
On the Friday all the children were allowed to come in sports gear in return for a contribution to Sport Relief. We raised over £100!!
