Week Commencing 4th May 2020
Morning Year 2! I hope you have had a great weekend! Keep moving, learning and keep safe!
Story Ending Competition.
Wednesday will be the final day to email me your story endings. So far I have only had a couple of entries. Come on Year 2! Get writing!
This half term our theme should have been about the book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl. So, this week all English activities are linked to chocolate! Yummy!
Activity 1
Today use your senses to think of adjectives to describe chocolate. Ask an adult in your house if you are allowed to have one, tiny piece of chocolate to help you with this task! Think of words to describe how it tastes, feels, smells, and how it looks. Write a list in your exercise books.
Activity 2
Design your own chocolate bar! Create a recipe, what treats would you put into your chocolate bar. Once you have created a list of ingredients, design a wrapper for you chocolate bar. Think carefully about the colours you will use and the style of writing.
Activity 3
In the story the characters go on a boat along a chocolate river! How amazing would that be! Click on this link to watch the scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X48RiKQmFQ
Now imagine that you are drifting on the chocolate river, use your senses to complete this worksheet.
Maths
As always keep practicing recalling multiplication and division facts for your target time table. If you think you are able to do this move onto the next.
