Invasion Launch Day
Today we launched our new theme, Invasion. We looked at Anglo Saxon patterns and created our own brooch. We used tools to engrave our designs into metal.
Summer 1 Invasion
This half term we are reading Anglo-Saxon Boy by Tony Bradman. This book links well with our history led theme, Invasion.

Spring 2 Out of this World!
This half term our class book is Limitless by Tim Peaks: we will be reading about the amazing achievements he has made throughout his life.
We will be learning about Earth and Space in Science; we will be describing the movement of the Earth, and other planets, relative to the Sun in the solar system by learning the order of the plants and how they move in the solar system. In Computing we will be learning about E-Safety and how we can keep ourselves safe when using the internet. In DT we will be creating our very own space buggies: we will research, plan, make and evaluate our product. Please take a look at our Curriculum Letter for more details about this half term.

Celebration Day
Today was our Celebration Day. We took part in fun games, including Tic Tac Toe, pieing and eating a donut on a string!
Spring 1
This half term our theme is Road Trip! We will be learning about North America and South America and will be comparing the lives of people living in both of these areas. Our class book is Holes by Louis Sachar. For more details about what we are learning this half term, take a look at our Curriculum Letter below.
Launch Day
Today we learned how to rock'n'roll dance! It was great fun!
Autumn 2
This half term our theme is Home Historical Navigators – Where Do We Come From? We will be exploring the history of how Leeds developed from a Saxon Village to the great city it is today. Our class theme book is Cogheart by Peter Bunzl which is a great adventure story! For more details about what we will learn this half term, take a look at our Curriculum Letter below.
Autumn 1
This half term our theme is Home Sweet Habitat. We will be thinking about biomes and world habitats. We will be going on a visit to The Deep which we are very excited about! We will be thinking about life cycles and will be comparing different life cycles.
PE will be on Tuesdays and children will continue to go swimming every Thursday afternoon: please send your child into school in their PE kits on these days.

Today was our Celebration Day. We created 3d Sea Sculptures using different mediums. Look at our great pieces...
11th October 2022
Today we went on a trip to The Deep. We took part in a workshop about coral. We learned that coral is actually an animal! This was a great opportunity for us to consolidate our learning. After the workshop we explored the aquarium and saw lots of amazing sea life.
4th October 2022
Today Mini-First Aid came to work with us. They showed us how we could help someone who may be in need. We learned about how to place someone in the recovery poisition, how to help someone who may be choking and how to give compressions to someone who may stop breathing.
