RE Salvation

Today we considered the Christian belief that Jesus died to save people — to rescue them from their sins and to bring them back to God. They explain this in terms of Jesus’ death being a sacrifice, giving his life for others, for example, by taking the punishment for sin. We explored four scenarios and discussed and acted them out in groups.  We wrote our thoughts on post it notes and reported back to the class.

We then discussed in which ways Joshua has sacrificed himself. We know that Joshua is the modern version of Jesus’ name.
