Collective Worship
We will be adding a weekly Collective worship service here each week. Parents your child can either read through the service if they are able to or you can read it with them. There will be each week a Bible story video ,a Collective Worship Song and a prayer. If you have more than one child they could do the service together.

This is the last week of school and we come to the end of a very strange year.

Today we are looking at influential Christians. Archbishop Desmond Tutu . He lived in South Africa and helped to end apartheid which was where Black people were treated differently and had to follow some horrible rules. Tutu helped to abolish to but he always taught peace.

Today we are going to look at the Eucharist you may know this as Lord's Supper or Communion. This is when we take bread and wine.

In this story Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples. We remember this in the Eucharist. The bread reminds us of Jesus' body and the wine is his blood. If you can get some bread and black current juice. You can then eat the bread and black current juice and remember Jesus.

It is quite a scary time at the moment. Today we are looking at the story of David and Goliath. David must have been quite scared but he trusted God.

Draw a picture of a big giant and on it write all you are worried about. Then pray to God and ask him to be with you. Then rip up the picture into really small bits and throw it away.

In this story the Holy Spirit came and everyone could understand each other even though they spoke in a different language. We are all different in our school but we are one family. I hope you are all staying safe. It is very easy to have doubts especially at the moment. Today we are going to look at one of the disciples called Thomas who had doubts.

Thomas had doubts and couldn't believe Jesus was back.These are very uncertain times but we can hold on to the fact Jesus is with us. Draw a sun and cut it out. then draw a cloud as big as the sun and cut it out. Cover the sun with the cloud and think or pray about hard times. Then rip up the cloud and look at the sun and remember God is with us and we have hope. You may want to stick the sun in your window so people can see them .

We are still looking at what happened after Easter and how Jesus appeared to his disciples. We are going to look at a story where Jesus had breakfast on a beach and forgave Jesus.

In this story Peter let Jesus down but Jesus forgave Peter. I ma sure at the moment you may be falling out with your family. It is really important that we forgive each other and make up.
Why don't you draw an outline of a fish on one side write sad and on the other side happy. Then look at the sad times and say sorry to Jesus for when you upset people and then turn the fish and think about all the ways you can make people happy and thank Jesus for the good times.

Today is a day to celebrate as we remember that Jesus has risen !!!

It was a really sad day, but we go from a sad day to a fantastic day when Jesus rose again. Things are tough now, but we have hope in Jesus.
Get a blank piece of paper on one side draw a sad face and on the other draw a happy face.

It is a really hard time for us all today we are going to look at a story when the disciples were scared but Jesus helped them through it.

In the story the disciples were scared and they didn't know what to do. Jesus was there for them and calmed the storm. During this difficult time we need to turn to Jesus and give him our worries.
Draw a picture of a storm on a blank peace of paper and then on the other side draw the sun.

Then each day this week look at the storm and think about all your worries and if you want tell them to God.
Then turn the page and look at the sun. Remember that Jesus is the son of God and he will give you peace. Spend some time thinking about all the good things you have and then if you want pray.
