Leeds United football tournament.
The football team competed for the first time this year at a tournament organised by Leeds United at Middleton Leisure Centre. The standard was very high, so although the team played well in their four games they didn't get enough points to get past the group stage. An enjoyable day though despite the rain!
Year 3 class football tournament.
At the end of the first half term, where Year 3 had been working on their football skills, Mr Adamson split the class into 4 teams and they had a fantastic class tournament which everyone enjoyed.
Annual Dance Competition
To finish off a succussful Spring 1 half term we had our annual dance competition. As usual the children in each class had worked hard on their dances in PE and excitement grew as the competition got nearer. When the day came it was amazing as always. The standard of dancing was possibly the best we've had! In the end Year 3 won a very close contest by just one vote! Well done to every class - a great finale to the term!
Football v Richmond Hill
We have had two good games against our friends from Richmond Hill this half term. The first one was a closely contested game, but in the end we managed to pull away in front and won 6-2. The second match was a wider goal margin 9-1. Both schools showed a great attitude in both matches and there was plenty of skill and determination on show.
